Baltics at night

We like small and cosy places as well as huge venues, which enchants one with their majesty. And we visit them often, so here are our tips:

Vilnius

Going for meal

Steakhouse Hazienda - for sure the best courtyard in town!
Steakhouse - a restaurant facing Town hall square and offering perfect food.
Tores – definitely the restaurant with the best view, enjoy good food and panorama of Gediminas castle, old town and river Vilnele.
Verkiai – we like their posh atmosphere and gourmet food.
Čili chain (pronounced Chili) – both locals and guests of Vilnius like it. Čili Pica and Čili China is more for locals, though Čili kaimas (village) is a Lithuanian restaurant visited by everyone.

Going out for coffee
Vilnius has strong coffee drinking traditions; locals like it and drink a lot.
Coffee Inn – that’s the best take away coffee in the heart of the city.
Double coffee – some of their restaurants work 24 hours, which is good for early bird, or tough night clubber. For the rest – that’s also a good lunch place.

Going out for drinks
The Shooters - absolutely the best cocktail bar in town.
Sky Bar – a panoramic lounge bar on the 22nd floor… is there any need to add something else?
In Vino – has without a doubt the best menu in town, smart and witty, tasty snacks and wide choice of wines.
Beach bar by the river Neris – well definitely in a summer time only, but this is a perfect place to sit in the long summer evenings (it gets dark only after 11 pm!)

Going out for partying all night
Mojito nights – a fun party place, a bit crowded, but...
Absintho fejos – plenty of Absinth, good music and party atmosphere all weekends.
Paparazzi –  trendy music and lots of themed evenings.
Trakai castle – though only once in a year, but worth this. Trakai castle museum, in the middle of the lake Galve, only 27 kilometres from Vilnius in the beginning of August, just for one night is being turned into huge dancing place.
